As the founder of a nonprofit, the most important part of my job is to execute the mission, and to let supporters know they are making a difference with their contributions.

I gave out 53 recovery scholarships last year.

We are seeing positive results of those scholarships. Kyle, Nina, Liz, Erik, Chelsea, Katie and others are celebrating a year or more of sobriety. Each of these recovered individuals has a parent or other family member, who has been attending our family program for a year or more, too. There is a definite connection between the two recovery paths – often when one gets healthy, so does the other!

Our mission is to offer recovery support for the entire family – support I wish my son and I had received when we were going through our addiction journey.

I have already received 83 scholarship applications this year. I’ve given out as many as I possibly can, including 3 treatment scholarships which are 4-5x times more than a sober living (aftercare) scholarship. There is always so much need and never enough funds. The addiction crisis is not over by any means.

I am nearly out of funds and had to discontinue taking scholarship applications until I can replenish them.

I don’t like interrupting any part of our mission. I am asking for your help, so we can continue to offer scholarships to those individuals in need. My goal is to raise $10,000 over the next month for our scholarship fund. If you are moved by what we are doing for families, please consider making a contribution today to help us continue to execute our mission. Every little bit helps.

You are truly making a difference.
